Personal Items

Diapers, shampoo/conditioner, soap, towels, and linens are provided, as well as laundry supplies and facilities.

On-Site Nurse

Through our partnership with StreetWorks, a registered nurse is on-site five days a week—offering health education, resources, and one-on-one care for residents who need it.

Community Resources

Our crisis intervention workers provide information and referrals to various community agencies and their services. Including referrals to emergency medical and dental care.

Hot Meals

At our emergency shelters, an on-site cook prepares three nutritious meals a day—plus snacks—so residents have one less thing to worry about while focusing on their safety and healing.

Pet Safe-Keeping Program

WIN House offers safe, temporary shelter for your furry companions while you stay with us—so you don’t have to choose between your safety and theirs.

Transportation

WIN House provides free transportation within the local area for those coming to our shelters. If needed, our team can arrange a taxi to bring you from crisis to safety. We also provide transportation for emergency medical care when required.

WIN School

School-aged children staying at

WIN House have access to

WIN School, where they can continue learning in a safe and supportive environment. Our shelter staff help with transportation and provide nutritious lunches—so children can focus on being kids.

Shelter Programming

Whether it is restorative yoga, equine therapy, on-site counselling, pharmacy support services, cultural teachings, kids programming or holiday activities - our shelters always bring in new ways to engage and support our residents.
